Sarracenia leucophylla "Burgundy"

Traps from this clone can get pretty big, but on average, expect them to be in the 2' range at vegetative maturity. We've had this clone since the early 2000s and it has withstood the test of time, so we feel confident this plant is ideal for both beginners and experts alike!

Just like the majority of leucophylla clones, The biggest, most colorful traps are produced in the fall. Spring/early summer traps can also be impressive! For best results, we recommend growing this clone in full sun outdoors. Another little secret is to feed the spring/summer traps if they aren't filled with insects: this will increase the chances of produce the biggest fall traps possible! We use 3/4-full strength Maxsea 16-16-16, and we fill the traps 1-2 times per month during the growing season: just be sure not to overfill the traps, otherwise, they'll fall over!

Divisions offered are medium to large in size (at or near flowering size) and fully established (grown out for a full season after dividing) and very healthy with great growth momentum. This means you don't have to wait a year or two for the division to recover, we did the waiting for you! This clone regularly sells elsewhere for $100 or more, and it's very unlikely those plants are in half as good condition as these are!
