As we walk through the greenhouse, it is Bristletooth that every time will catch our eye first. With its extraordinary bright red trap interiors with a striking contrasting trap margin, and its many very short and irregular "teeth" (the traps' marginal spines or cilia), it is a very striking Venus flytrap indeed. It is also quite vigorous, producing many offspring.

The Bristletooth Venus Fly Trap is similar in some ways to Sawtooth, and both are members of the short-cilia group of Venus Flytraps that also includes Dentate Traps, Red Piranha and the FTS Crimson Sawtooth.

Very colorful!
What an eye catching plant this is! It arrived very healthy, and with the gorgeous red and green traps, it's very hard to take your eyes off it! Low growing, it looks great in my pot of low growing plants! I would def recommend this to people who like low growing, colorful plants!

One of the most beautiful flytraps I've seen
This is an amazing cultivar, the ragged cilia and intense coloration blow me away! My girlfriend bought me a starter plant and I got it 3 days ago! But instead of one, there was 4 little babies, and 3 bigger ones!!! It was packaged extremely well and all of the traps were still open, it didn't seem fazed at all by the trip. Many thanks to the flytrap store for the amazing and healthy plants.

Beautiful & healthy plant!
I am so impressed by the quality of the plant that was sent to me. No dead traps, beautiful coloration, a couple of fed traps, potted perfectly, and just absolutely glowing with health! I am so glad I wont have to worry about repotting my first plant right away and that I can allow it to acclimate after shipping. Beginner or advanced hobbyists should definitely take advantage of this wonderful store.

Awesome Plant
I got one of these about a week ago, it's definitly something if you're looking for an unusual VFT, I love the almost frayed, bristly teeth on this one. I can't wait to also see it begin to color up as well as the pictures, mine are just starting to redden. The traps get pretty big too, and I like the upright growth of mine. Definitly a must have VFT! Arrived fast and in perfect condition as always!

I got my bristletooth two days ago and it's great!!!
When I got it one trap was already closed.
I was amazed by how well it got shipped, it was in perfect conditions!!
As soon as I got it, I put a mosquito in the freezer for a few minutes to make it sluggish and then droppped it in the trap. As soon as it started twitching,BAM
the trap slamed shut.
It is great, you SHOULD buy it =)

The Most Beautiful Of All Mini-Cultivars.
Perhaps due to its' modest size, these little gems appear to retain their practically florescent greens and reds no matter the (well, seedlings are the exception) plant's age or growing conditions. I purchased a 5 X Small-Plant bundle which (due to my own inexperience) I planted incorrectly. The result was more stress on the plants than what is normally to be expected during a repotting; most of the gorgeous traps died. Long Story Short: With just the right dosage of sunshine and distilled water, every one of my Bristletooth's came back, sporting new and brilliant traps; so it's every bit as Hardy as it is Gorgeous.
