I have been ordering from Matt and Leah for years and plan to continue my business. They go above and beyond to answer any questions. I received this plant extremely quickly and in superb shape, it even had a few extra smaller plants with it.

Maroon Monster was delivered today and I am floored by its beauty. The largest trap is so deep purple that it's almost black. It has over 20 traps with several points of growth, and this is for a starter size plant still (mostly) in dormancy. The health is outstanding, as is always true with Flytrapstore's plants.
On a side note, recently, several of my other plants declined so suddenly that I emailed Matt and Leah in desperation. They wrote me back right away and I was so grateful for their help! I've never seen customer service this amazing. Also happy to say the plants are recovering from my mistake.

I ordered an FTS Maroon Monster about 2 years ago.
This year (2015) it won 2nd place in the carnivorous plant division in the NC State Fair! Nice big traps and fast growth rate. I'd attach a pic if I could but can't see how to.
Anyways, nice fast growth rate and great color.
Please note that it needs more than the 4-5 hours of direct sun that I give it to become all red. Mine are deep red inside the trap with light red along the petiole center and green elsewhere. It would likely grow even better if I could give it more sun.
This is my favorite cultivar to date.

The young plant I received was bigger than the large adults sold by most other vendors. The deep red coloring on the FTS Maroon Monster is just amazing. It's hands down the best red variation flytrap out there in my humble opinion both in terms of color and size. Shipping was fast, packaging was secure, and you could tell that these plants were grown by people who know what they are doing. The handwritten personalized note of thanks on my order form was classy too. Thanks again Matt & Leah! :)

Very similar to Akai Ryu but with a less lanky growth habit and much more vigorous growth. Color, trap size, and growth rate are all exactly what you would want in a VFT. It's hard to find a more universally beautiful plant.

By far, this is my favorite venus flytrap! I ordered a young adult- potted, and received a well grown and thriving plant. Monster traps and excellent deep maroon color make this a must have. I suggest you pick one up when available. THANK YOU FLYTRAP STORE! A+

I'm not a stranger to live plant orders. These bare root plants were perfectly wrapped in wet packaging material (4days transit) . My maroon monsters were huge (much larger then I was expecting). For someone in the field of horticulture, I greatly appreciate the sense I get for growers who really love their plants, and it shows. Thanks Matt and Leah.
