Unlike most Sarracenia leucophylla, a population found near Hurricane Creek, Alabama, have pitchers topped only with white dots and fenestrations. This population is now largely extinct in the wild.
Sarracenia leucophylla "Hurricane Creek White" does not actually lack the organic red dye anthocyanin, and young plants display some red veining, but the red color is absent in the coloration of more mature pitchers.
