Been getting my care package items in their proper homes the last two days (Thanks to Bananaman!) and as I’m getting the D Burmanii seeds ready to water germinate, I notice a much larger dot in the carefully folded envelope..

Hmmm..

Is it a seed?

I went ahead and placed it in the container of distilled water with the Burmaniis just in case..

Thoughts?

It could be part of a seed pod, could be an anther... It could be a seed, who knows?

When a person starts growing CP from seed, a Triplett 10x magnifying glass/loupe is your best friend.
I got mine for about $15 - $ 20 many years ago.
It's very similar to this one: https://www.amazon.com/10x21mm-Illumina ... ay&sr=8-11

The ICPS has a photo database of many CP Seeds. https://www.carnivorousplants.org/about ... seedimages

It might be a bit of the calyx — I’m usually pretty careful about cleaning seeds, but occasionally something ends up mixed in with them.

Nice! Okay, I will put that on my list for purchase in the near future as I plan on learning as much as I can about the seeds..

No worries, just thought maybe it was another surprise! :) I picked up some rooting hormone for the Ceph pullings. That is a really cool plant! The pitchers are amazing.
