I’ve got a bunch of baby sundews from a variety of places. All of them are currently in my subtropical terrarium, and some will go join my outdoor plants once they’re more mature. Without further ado, I present some babies.

D. intermedia — Stump Sound, Pender Co., NC from the FTS seedbank — sown 10/13/18: D. filiformis “Florida All Red” and D. tracyi leaf cuttings from a trade — received 9/7/18: D. filiformis “Florida Giant” from ICPS seedbank — sown 10/13/18: D. brevifolia — Pinar del Rio, Cuba from ICPS seedbank — sown 9/6/18: D. rotundifolia — Triangle Lake Bog, Portage County, OH from trade — sown 7/18/18: They’ve all grown pretty well, except for the rotundifolia. I wonder if the tank is getting too warm for them? It’s about 85° in the day and 70° at night with a 16hr photoperiod. I feed pretty frequently (maybe two or three times a month) with maxsea. I think all will be grown outside all year, except the rotundifolia which will be grown inside in the summers (and maybe some of the brevifolia will stay inside come winter).

Triangle lake is a local bog for me. I visit it quite often. The rotundifolia there I find grow very quickly and can get up to 2 inches diameter in a year. Great plants

Thanks! They just seem really slow for whatever reason. They’ve been stuck at this size for a few months now, despite feeding them. I think it’s either been the temperature or the constant 16 hour photoperiod so far. What do you think?

I find they do best in live spag with high humidity. They spread like wildfire once they get bigger too. I've never had one flower but leaf pullings work extremely well
