Hello,

I just received a plantlet of the specie and seeds but I don't know anything about growing this sundew to maturity or germinating it. I need help on the on the following topics:

1) What media it's prefer? How moist should I keep the media

2) How much humidity?

3) Temperature

4) Lighting/Photoperiod

5) Dormancy? How long?

6) Propagation Techniques

7) Sowing of seeds? Stratification? Increasing germination success

you have lots of help already. you must be very happy
since your plant has snap tentacles and is the fastest sundew.

I still don't know how to germinate the seeds and what type of stratification should be done to germinate faster.

The ICPS Grow Guide should give you all the info you need to germinate the seeds.

D. glanduligera , wow what a plant to germinate , you picked one of the hardest plant to grow there !! I live where they are native in our foot hills and i live on the plains here and i can not get them to germinate not 20 min drive from my home ?? there little rat bags to grow !! they like it cool to mild weather , day temps about 10 to 15 c , night 5 to 10 c , love full winter sun , humidity is low only 40 to 60 % they live in clay loam soils quite sandy , and grow best at above 500m above sea level and below 1000m short range !!
