What in the world is going on with my Venus Fly Trap?! I have uploaded 2 new photos in my photo album (link below).

I cannot even begin to describe what's happening. Haha, well at least it's not dying. If anything, it's too alive!

the photos are here: http://www.flytrapcare.com/carnivorous- ... bumid=489/

Please respond if you have seen this happen, and you think it's normal behavior.

Thanks,
Trevor

Well, good job raining on my party! I thought I had some kind of abnormal Venus Fly Trap on hand!

Thanks for the information! :)

You sure about normal Daniel?

I was thinking multiple vi-vapory. (or how every you say it).

It is kinda hard to tell from the angle of the photos.

Not that there is anything wrong with multiple vivap, it is a cool and interesting mutation. either way there is nothing wrong with your plant... but if it starts demanding blood... I would put it out of it's misery.

I'm not sure you're looking at the right photo Dan? This is the one I'm seeing.

Is that a false vivipary or just an elongated flower bud and leaves?

Instead of the usual flower stalk your plant has decided to grow a small army of VFT men to collect food for the plant. I would lock up any small pets.

In the orchid world it's called a 'keiki' (Hawaiian for baby).
