Hi all...

Is it normal for a D. Cap. to flower... and then flower again...

Let me explain a little bit.. my cap is in the process of finishing flowering right now ( 2 buds left on stalk number 1)... as I am checking the new growth... there is another stalk forming... I am wondering if this is normal? Is this healthy? Is this the sign of a happy plant?

I wouldn't worry, it just means you get more seed. ;)
Good growing, even though I've grown harder species swell D. capensis never did well for me, I'm glad mine are finally getting out of that "spell".

A few years back now when we had our 6 year drought we had not winter to talk about ,winter temp were up in the 25 to 30 c range and the D.capensis just flowered continually all year round until the drought broke finely and now there back to normal spring and summer flowering times so dont be to worried they will just do there thing when and where they want too ,as long as they are feeding well its not a problem

Producing many flowers can eventually weaken a plant, make sure that your plant is eating healthy and it will continue to produce many flower stalks. If it is not catching many insects, you can supplement with crumbled fish food flakes applied to the leaves - not too much though or it will become mouldy.
