I've got some sort of little stalk growing out of some peat moss next to a s. leucophylla bulb. Is this part of the live sphagnum? Or maybe just a weed that blew into my garage when it was open.

Looks like there may be some terrestrial Utricularia growing next to the sarra rhizome. The small green leaf blades. It could be a flower stalk from it.

I think you are both correct. The small leaf blades do look like an Utric, and the tall stalk looks like D. binata.

If it's binata you'll know soon since it will uncurl shortly.

Wow, funny to just have those growing without even knowing it. I just thought it was funny looking moss...

Should I do something to take care of the Utricularia? I know nothing about them. I feel bad cause when I planted the sarr, I just kind of stuffed the rest in.

I looked closely and it does look like there are little hairs curled up in the bud of the stalk. Would that have just grown from a seed or already have been established?

Look at the base of the stalk that may help better identify it. You may see a hibernaculum if it is a drosera. if there are little hairs on the bud its probably the tentacles getting ready to unroll off the leaf when it forks.

Well, it's certainly not a seedling, most likely an established plant tagging along with the Sarracenia. They should be fine grown together.
As for the Utricularia, no idea...

There's no hibernaculum that I can see but it may be buried in the sphagnum and alleged utricularia. I pulled up some of those little thin sticks that are bent over and they do look like dried utricularia flower stalks to me.

D. binata will grow from root fragments.

I purchased a pot of binata several months ago. I divided the plants between a couple pots with new soil. I tossed the old soil that was in the bottom of the rinsing bucket into a tray. After several weeks I had about 5-6 new plants coming up from the pieces of root that had broken off from washing. Even this weekend I found another small plant in the tray.

If it's growing from a root piece you wont see a hibernaculum. You'll just see the stalks coming out of the soil.

Truly a weed! Thanks for sharing that.

Good call guys. Here's an update from today. So will it grow more stalks like this from the same spot? I've never had one.

Yes it'll grow from the same growth point. I love binatas. Interesting that its so big without any signs of the rest of the plant. I've never done root cuttings but I would think it would be smaller. Hope it grows well for you.

None of mine were intentional root cuttings, just remnants from repotting, but they were all about that size or larger. Probably depends on the size of the root it's growing from.

Well I may have buried it when I potted it too. I was only expecting the sarr to be there and was rushing a bit cause it had been in a bag so long. There's a pic of it bare root here. I couldn't pick anything out.
