Hey all,

I recently won several plants from an auction at Florae Collaborative (btw they have a lowii x rajah going at, as of right now, 51$; if you have this on your list of plants to get I suggest checking out the auction ;)) they all were settling fine in yada, yada, but then my maxima-dark x(eymae x veitchii) stops growing. I was soo worried that I re-potted him and brought him inside (the leafs started yellowing, one by one, up the stem, I moved/repotted/shocked the plant at 2 leaves up). Yes, I know that moving him to a new environment and reports will make him have to adjust and that's more time down the drain. Can't do anything about that now anyway.
Here are the stats:

Outside-
Temperatures:
Day- Was around 85°F but recently its been getting into the low 90's
Night- High 50's to upper 60's

RH is about 90% during the night and 62%ish during the day

Light is filtered

Soil is 50/50 LFSM and Perlite always has, always will.

Water is below 50 ppm

Inside-
Same stuff as before except Temp and RH

Temperature:
Around 72 consistently

RH is around 60% consistently

I don't have a picture of the plant right now so I will vividly describe him:
Stalk fades from light green yellow to light green as you go up with peach fuzz thoroughly. The bottom leaf has this weird light gray color with a hint of yellow on the outer edges of the end of the leaf and the rest of it is yellow. The next leaf up has black faded speckles throughout except near the stem and has a bit of sunburn-looking splotches on it. The next 2 leaves look normal while getting progressively as we go up along with stem length. The growth point looks healthy.

Again I'll get a picture ASAP. :)

Edit: Pics!

Nepenthes tend to drop leaves and pitchers when moved or repotted. This is normal, the plant seems to be just fine otherwise. I would give it a nighttime temperature drop, consistent temperatures are probably okay but most Neps seem to appreciate a colder night. It should start growing again if you don’t move or repot it again.

As an anecdote, I recently (maybe around a month ago) bought a N. undulatifolia and it had 5 healthy pitchers when I got it.

Now that’s down to two.

However, a new leaf is growing out so it seems it’s adjusting.

I know it’s not the same plant but just wanted to provide an example to back up my point.

I don’t think that’s something to worry about. Old leaves sometimes do that, I’ve heard to only remove them when they’re completely brown and dry. Unless the leaf is sick, which it doesn’t seem to be.

I used the undulatifolia as an example because (asides from me) it may well have just thrown the biggest moving fit I’ve ever seen. If that can recover, yours can too.

Hurray! OK, I’ll tend to it and see what happens and also, hope your N. undulatifolia continues to bear fruit(so to speak).
