I bought 2 plants off a local guy at the beginning of summer. Both were in the same pot and healthy. I did not repot. As you can see one is basically dead and the other just barely tinted pink. How pink should they get? I don't want to increase their light (currently 14 hours a day) if they will both be fried. Any suggestions?Image

That pink looks abut the same as mine that is on a sunrise/sunset timer.

I think the other is a goner. Did it die of brown heart?

I looked up brown heart disease and I don't think so? I just unpotted it. I'm not 100% sure it can't be saved? I pulled the dried stuff off. It's just crazy in the same pot and conditions one seems ok and one is clinging to life.

I have been keeping them drier this time if year but their substrate is still damp. ImageImage

for me the brown is almost dead.
the other seems well there are even small ones at the collar

detach the young ones from the mother plant and transplant them, if you can in a more mineral mixture

x 'Aphrodite = agnata x moctezumae
moctezumae is a plant that always needs water even in winter, a bit like temperate pinguicula, it is a calcareous

what substrate have you ?
