Have a burmannii which was growing very well and suddenly there are no new leaves growing.

I had it since May 2020 and fed it regularly. Repotted it to a larger space last month with no issues.

This is my first sundew and I’m really lost.

Growing in pure Chilean moss and getting tap water below 100 tds.

Is it normal for a Drosera to just rest?

Could be that its just recovering from the repot. Some respond to it faster than others. Your plant looks healthy though so I don't believe its a cause for concern.

Agreed. It looks healthy. If it starts turning brown before putting out new growth, then I would be concerned. My guess is that it is spending its energy rebuilding roots after the repot.

Aren't burmannii annual plants? Mine ate like crazy, put up two flower stalks, and then died. New babies are growing from the seeds I sprinkled in the same pot.

Think age and energy are the major factors when it comes to that. I had one put out a stalk, then two, then it divided and was still alive. Maxsea wrecked it's life though so now it's recovering(if it does, I'm hopeful). Could go the VFT route and clip the stalk to preserve energy. Some people have had them grow for years.

Unfortunately it hasn’t flowered thus far.

It was like this in May.

My Burmannii "Humpty Doo" did the exact same thing, was fine for most of the year, then stopped putting out new leaves and declined. The only difference is mine put out flower stalk after flower stalk, at one time there were four stalks at once.
I still have some of that seed. If your plant decides it's time, drop me a PM. You send a SASE and I'll send you some seeds if you'd like. Better yet, make a request from the seed bank, add +bonus for some extra seeds, then include a note reminding me about Humpty Doo seeds. You get a 3-fer for the price of a couple of stamps: your request, HD seeds, and a 3rd pack of my choice.

Thank you ChefDean for the offer!

I’m still trying to salvage the plant.

I placed it away from strong light and it looks like it’s recovering with small incomplete leaves so far.

Suspecting it got sunburnt.

I have discovered what the problem was.

It didn’t like the new grow light I changed to. The stubby growth was when I put it back in the old grow light which is weaker.

Then I transferred it to the new grow light at a lower intensity ( I thought it was a intensity issue) and the growth stopped again.

I gave up and put it in the corridor with mostly shaded sunlight and it returned despite the low available light.

Curiously it split into many small leaves.
