Recently, I got a Nepenthes Ventratata and a Nepnethes Specatbilis x Ventricosa. Both of them aren't growing ever since I bought them from the store. I live near the bay area in California and I use a LED light (50 watt) because I feel like they aren't getting enough light naturally. My Ventratata has been effected by the cold and the pitchers were drying so I trimmed them all. Right now the doesn't have any pitchers on it. What should I do to help them grow more vigorously? Did I do something wrong? I would love to see a basal shoot or a vine on both of the some day.

On average, Nepenthes grows at a rate where they send out a leaf and/or pitcher each month. For pitcher development, it consists of two factors, which is good lighting and high humidity.

Upon closely looking at your Nepenthes x ventrata, it unfortunately looks like the growth tip has snapped off. Most likely a dormant node will be activated where it'll then grow on from there where it'll take a while.
