I was repotting my flytraps a while back, and thought I’d share this photo of their nice, long roots.

This is why I always recommend deep pots — I grow mine in standard 1 gallon nursery pots, and kind of wish I had deeper ones.

I use a peat:perlite mix and grow them on the drier side. I like using a peat based mix because I find it gives me a little more flexibility with respect to watering than LFS. I really like LFS as a medium, but it’s expensive and I find it’s a little more finicky with watering in the summer here.
