This made me lol so I thought I'd share:

"A Nepenthes Viking is an unusually aggressive
species. It is not known where Nepenthes Vikings
originate, for they typically appear out of
nowhere and vanish just as suddenly. Although
they're not dangerous to humans, they will attack
other CPs and plunder the contents of their
pitchers and other traps. They've also been
known forcibly hybridize with other CPs. There
is no known way to defend against a raid by
Nepenthes Vikings."

LOL :D

Wooow. That pitcher reminds me of those weird deep sea fish.

Lilly and sterwick, you have to know a bit about Viking history in order to get the joke.

I've read something like this for N. sibuyanensis, someone made an error and wrote: subuyanensis. People started to write stories about the submarine nepenthes then, lurking in the dark for unvary prey and attacking humans:)

This reminds me of a page in the Savage Garden:

"When people ask me what is the scariest looking Nepenthes, I usually point in the direction of Nepenthes Hamata... One can only guess what this plant may be evolving into. Pray it doesn't start walking."

That made me crack up. Here are some Hamata pictures:
