i got some of this dried moss from a friend who told me it is lfsm. i just want to make sure this is long fiber sphagnum moss before i use it. i've used the new zealand kind before and compared to that this looks much darker, more withered and stringy. It also doesnt smell as good

I personally wouldn't use it at all. Its pretty much desiccated.

I never reuse media.

Rotting LFS starts to break down. As it breaks down it will add nutrients to the mix analog with more chances for fungus and other bad things.

Yeah. I do use Mosser Lee, but only to plug my drainage holes so the medium doesn’t run out. That’s about the only thing it’s good for imo.

Yeah, looks like Mosser Lee. It's not really good for anything CP-related. I wouldn't even use it for herps.
