With plants that have formed a bit of a stem I like to fill the media up to about the base of the living tissue. This works well with Drosera, since most readily form roots from their stem. With Neps you probably don't need to go so high. I don't know if they form roots from the wooded stem like Drosera, but I'm sure it wouldn't mind, and it will keep your plant stabalized.

I'd be careful about doing that. I've heard from others than Neps can rot if you bury the old stem like that. I wouldn't bury it any further than the darker parts of the stem - perhaps 4 leaf stubs above the first root.

Good to hear that. I've only burried shorter stems on my sanguinea before, nothing to this extent.
