I got a supply of RO water today from a different source to where i normally get it and my TDS meter reads 65ppm.
Its three cannisters of 20 litres each and they all read the same.

The place i normally get it is a maximum of 15 ppm.

Its too far to take back (and hassle), its 60 litres worth, would this be ok to use even at that ppm.

Im not impressed by the reading but i dont want to waste it.

If its RO water why is the reading so high ?

Thoughts please.

Im tempted to collect a batch of rainwater and mix it to lower it.
I dont have a rain butt and the idea was to avoid collecting rainwater.

Moral of this is ALWAYS go to a place that you KNOW has good products.

I went to this other place as my main shop was closed, in future i wont be so impatient.
NB:- Im on the phone tomorrow to tell them their RO water isnt up to scratch.

The TDS readings increase as the membrane degrades and needs replacing,, however that obviously costs money so they tend to leave it as late as possible. That assumes that they are aware of the degradation in the first place, if they don't check the TDS every day or every week they may not know the membrane is degrading.

Cheers
