Hey there! I was extremely curious to see if anyone had any experiences shipping pings, and would be willing to share some advice! Im supposed to send out just one ping, its got 3 flower stalks and is probably 2 1/2 inches in diameter. Any help or pointers to keep this little guys safe would be much appreciated!

I have received them from CascadeCarnivores in a small cardboard box filled with packing peanuts. The ping is wrapped in damp sphagnum inside a plastic bag placed in the middle of the peanuts. That may be overpackaged, if anything, but they have arrived safely and it must be cost effective for him.

xr280xr, that sounds like a great way to send larger pings! Hadn't thought about packing peanuts.

Hey there! I've been super busy and haven't had time to stop by as often. The ping you sent me is doing great!!! Here is a pic:

It's still dormant and the strike from the leaf I accidentally broke off when planting is actually around four or five separate strikes!

Seriously, like xr280xr said, just wrap the roots in moist LFS or moist towel paper. Put it in a sealed ziploc, in any solid little box.

Just dont add too much water, they rot easily.
