Would this be a good greenhouse-type room or not because the ceiling isn't very transparent just the walls

If the windows are south-facing, than it should be okay for most plants. What is the temperature in the room?

Actually all the windows are south east and west, north goes into my house

And usually outside temperature as it has no insulation so right now... 48°F

If they are facing the south, then they will be okay regarding sunlight (for almost all CPs).

There should still be a good amount of direct sunlight going through there, even without a transparent roof. Perhaps not when the sun is at its highest point for the day, but during the morning and the afternoon that place should get direct sunlight
