Had a depressive episode during quarantine that led to some, uh, inconsistent watering. Between that and our recent heatwave, all my VFTs are looking REALLY rough. Thought I was gonna lose them, honestly.

But! I checked today and the rhizomes still look great! The roots looked...pretty badly rotted on most plants, but I've cut off the dead bits, washed them off, and repotted them in fresh LFS. Fingers crossed!

It's been a horrendous year, Adelae, no harm in putting plants on the back burner for a bit. Fingers crossed they green up and you stay steady too :-)

Quarantine has been pretty rough. Glad the plants were still salvageable. Take some time but I think they'll come back. Had one come back from a worse looking rhizome than those. I'm hoping it works out. Post an update if you remember later on down the road.

So glad to hear that the rhizomes look great! It has been a tough year for everyone. Sometimes plants don't come first, as much as it pains me to say so. Great to see that there was a silver lining for you and that, likely, your flytraps will persevere!!

One-month update: One of the really tiny divisions didn't make it but the rest are still hanging in there! They were kind of stalled out for a while but most have new growth coming in now.

Clyde the Lowe's rescue typical, in true plucky rescue plant fashion, became the first to open a fully developed healthy trap last week. That kid's got moxy.
