Honestly I don't see a use for it.
I've germinated lots of VFT's sundews and serra's and never used anything like that, you just put them under a good light and cover the pot\container with plastic wrap... can't do much better then plastic wrap :)

You can buy the heat mat alone for $14 here https://www.amazon.com/VIVOSUN-Waterpro ... 00P7U259C/

You don't need the plastic hot house, you can just use your own pots and food trays or whatever. I have used the heat mat for everything from starting tomato seeds to hatching chicken eggs. (I have a thermostat too... that is important)

I personally would advise against using a heat mat for CPs unless you're specifically growing lowland tropical species and need to provide proper conditions for them. Essentially no other species benefit from heat and it can even kill the seeds (that's how my first attempt at flytrap seeds ended when I was new.)

Yeah, I've only used a heat mat for when the room runs under 70 degrees and I need to keep a range 75+. If you choose to use one, use a thermostat that kills the power to prevent it from getting too hot. Like nimbulan said, I only used it for indica complex drosera and some lowland nepenthes seeds
