Here is what I am currently doing with very good results
take out container, no lid just in the open air 25-40% humidity
filled with approx 1 inch (more than this and it is hard to keep the soil moist) Black Gold peat moss that had been sifted to get rid of any bigger clumps and sticks and
sterilized
When I received the seeds I soaked them in condiment cup of hydrogen peroxide mixed at a 5 to 1 ratio for 48 hours
I then used a small strainer with a paper towel in it to slowly drain the water.
laid out the seeds one by one in rows so that they would not be bunched up and crowded when they germinated.
twice a day I mist the soil until it is shiny, but not so much it was standing in water.
