After 6 weeks I was so delighted to see some green colour appear on one of my Nepenthes Truncata seeds, thought it was starting to germinate! then when I took an extreme closeup photo I saw this!
is this fungus? or what on earth is this? a bad sign?

that sure looks like mold to me. Yeah, I don't think it's a good sign as it could affect the seed, I not had experience growing neps by seed, I tried once, and after months nothing germinated. I have germinated many Mangos though and I found all the ones that I allowed the seed pod carcass to get a little moldy the plant did not do well and struggled. If I was you I would try and wash it off and use something to keep the mold away. Maybe a bit of hydrogen peroxide once the main bit is cleaned away. Sorry bro, that sucks.

Yup, I'm afraid that is mold :( There are a number of things you can try at this stage to control it - remove the affected seeds, increase ventilation, start spraying with a dilute hydrogen peroxide spray, etc. For future batches, you might also try giving your seeds a 1-day pre-soak with some dilute peroxide.

thanks for taking the time to help me out @Dr GreenThumb, @BugBiters,
so its confirmed its mold! :(
I found this Hydrogen Peroxide spray, it says 1% per 1 Liter, is it safe to spray it directly on the seeds? or should I dilute it more?
thanks

I mean, I would assume so if that's the only ingredient. I have only ever mixed it myself.
