Hi everyone I'm new here and this is my first venus fly trap!
Is he dying? Iv only had him for about two months and he's in the same little container he came in,I have him placed inside the bigger pot just for decoration purpose! He did try to flower but I cut it off,did I leave it to long before I cut? Could that have made it start dying? A few heads died before it tried to flower but I figured that was from eating....help

I figured that would be the growing conditions.

These plants are outdoor plants, they are as far away from a house plant as you can get. A window is not going to work. They need as much direct sunlight as you can possibly give them.

They need to be outside.

I had him outside and he didn't seem to like it...

It's in the container it came in,little green pot and it's sitting in the plastic clear lid it came with in distilled water.then it's all placed in the bigger pot that does have dirt in it but the dirt is not getting in its water or peat moss.

Putting it outside will come with an adjustment period. Once it adjusts it will grow like crazy, could take months to get there.

If you leave it inside it will die. It will slowly degrade until it's gone.

You are also keeping it far too wet. Soil should be moist but not wet.

You let it go dormant is what you do. What are your winter's like there?

VFT's do not like to be constantly wet. Bottom water until it soaks up all that it can then let it dry out for a few days.

Mine are grown outside and I only water once every 5-7 days.

You will have to do what a lot of us in the US have to do then.

You leave it out side until first frost. After that move it inside on a sunny window sill, or in a cool basement under lights, or in a garage on a sunny window sill or under lights.
