He's dying more now only has a few alive heads

When you put it outside did you slowly acclimate it by slowly increasing the amount of direct sunlight? If not it's normal for most of the traps to die. The new growth will be better suited for the sun.

How's the center of the plant look? Does it look like there is new growth? As long as it looks like it's continuing to make new traps it's fine. These are slow growing plants and they can take a while to turn around.
