well in my personal experience ive learned in very short time (about 1 and a half or 2 years) with my cephalotus....you should make a substrate with peat moss, perlite and let it with a humidity trap which allows a short exchange of air but still keeping the humidity, put it light shade place and moist the soil until it be very very damp and let it in a dry dish ...then use that water that the substrate runoff for other plant letting the dish dry again..... water the ceph every 5 days and repeat procedure with the dish.....ive had good results with this simple care..... i don t know it it will work for you but my cephalotus was grown from seed like that and now he got 2 little plantlets more intil 2day
good luck i hope it helps you... BTW cephalotus is a VERY EXTREME slow grow plant.... so be patient, i feed my plant like every 15 days with very small insects...1 or 2
