As far as watering Venus flytraps go, the rules are quite simple:
- mineral-free or low-mineral water (below 50ppm as tested with a TDS meter)
- keep the soil moist at all times
- NEVER let the soil dry out completely
- ideally, the soil should be kept damp, but not soaking wet for too long
