Are you sure they don't have it at Lowe's. They always have it there in 25, 50, or 100 lb bags. They also have it at Home Depot.

They don't keep the silica sand in the gardening area, it should be in the place where they have concrete. Try looking at Home Depot.

A quick search of the Forum for "silica sand" will reveal the answers to the following questions and more!--
  • What exactly is silica sand?
  • What does silica sand look like, with pictures?
  • Where can I find silica sand?
  • How do I know that what's in the bag is silica sand?
  • What other kinds of sand are there, and how are they different from silica sand?
  • Won't those other kinds of sand work just as well? Why not?
  • I've looked every place I can think of; what other places can I look to find silica sand?
