Come on, I think all of us has done this once or twice.
Raffles for my first ever CP, N. Rafflesiana
Red for my second ever CP, an Akai Ryu
3rd CP has no name, now dead anyways
My current globosa x ampull. which I named Nepy
Sessy for my D. Sessilifolia
Any suggestions for D. Burmannii?

I like confusing stories!

My first Venus fly trap was "Mr. Nom Nom", second was "Red" (he was very red) and my first Pinguicula was (and still is, in various iterations) "Beatrice". I haven't named any others that I can recall of late.

My VFT is named Seymour because Little Shop of Horrors lol. My ping is named Angela bc I thought it was a good suit. My sarracenia is named Jared just bc I thought it was funny lol. I think giving plants people named is hilarious

I named my first N. x ventrata 'Wog Dottle'. It's not really a long story, just a confusing one
I wonder if alcohol or other recreational substances were involved. Hmm?

I Googled "Dottle" and was surprised that it is/was a real word. I thought I had a decent vocabulary, but I have to take off my hat to you. I guess there is a speciffic word for everything, no matter how obscure.

Good growing,
Mike

Here's my burmannii name list:
-Largest: Manning
-Medium: John
-Smallest: Manning Jr.

I name them when they catch something significant by themselves, but the medium one hasnt caught anything significant, so I name it John after John Duns, the original dunce
