They're not pets so don't smother them and don't have unnecessary contact. I've kept my current plants alive for almost two years using that method.

Let the plants adapt to your conditions. Things like spraying the plant to increase humidity or domes are simply unnecessary for most of the common species.

I get it... Love you fly traps. Don't LOOOOOOOOVE YOUR FLY TRAPS. although I do believe they like heavy breathing(co2).

I have a pet rock I smother like that.

Don't buy these new "vegetarian carnivores." I bought this "new" Big Mouth Vegan vft and it's supposedly vegetarian... all I know is it hangs out outside, demanding wine and cheese and getting all gutter mouthed. all night long pure trash mouthed. can't bring him inside. i'm gonna let this guy get a hard freeze.

Exactly! And that is exactly why Big Mouth stays outside. He says "a stumbling block to his new vegan lifestyle and we are not a good match." I say bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon!
