Tapwater -- 46 - 56
Collected Rainwater -- 11 - 15
Bottled Watter -- 3

I like to mix tap with rain or bottled depending on how much rain I've had to lower the tap water reading and saves money on bottled.
eg. 1/2 Bottled and 1/2 Tap = 25 ish (better than 56!)

I water down my water - saves me a bit. LOL

EmmaW -- Your tap water would probably be fine for most carnivorous plants if you water from the top and let it flow out the bottom of the pot so that minerals don't build up. Our tap water is usually between 35 and 45 and we use it quite often for flytraps.

Matt. I'm still new to this but I'm assuming 56 ish ppm long term would not be ideal? So... Rain when I can, or watered down when I can? Yes, I have all pots free draining and top watering (During Spring/Summer anyway) I cant wait till you have more seeds come late June.. I NEED HUNDREDS! - Love to get some of your fancy hybrids too.. exciting

It's not ideal, but it could likely be used for quite a while before any problems would arise. And if you repot annually, it may never affect the health of the plants. Depending on what minerals are in the water, it may actually help their growth.

That's definitely far safer and more ideal.

Kaunas, Lithuania.
Tap Water: ~260 ppm
RO water: 12-16 ppm (filter not changed 3 years)
I was surprised how bad is tap water, couse all tap water here in Lithuania comes from deep ground water. Maybe it's because of old public plumbing.
