Ok. Well, maybe just a little further to go before we get there, but... On February 15th I brought all my dormant plants from the "cold room" into the grow room. Most were showing signs of awakening,...green tips unfolding, poking up, etc.,. One pot of $6 bargain sarracenias I got from CalCarn last winter has a six inch bloom shooting up! Flytraps are peeping up...filiformis...etc.,. The forecasts for tonight and tomorrow night are the last freezes (a 30F and a 31F) shown in the 30-day extended forecast...not that I put a lot of stock in forecasts out that far. But, all the temperature trends out that far are far above freezing so that's good. March is bringing us average low-70's in the day and mid-40's at night. So, I figure I'll hold the plants another 30 days or so inside under the lights and then try to move them outside. Of course, this is Alabama...I might post back in 30 minutes with a different plan.
