So I have noticed these little spots forming on several new pitchers. I have seen them in years past to varying degrees, and they really only are a concern in the spring... They hardly appear on later traps. One year they were so bad I had to cut off many of the pitchers; they were covered!

Ay ideas on what it is?

I would guess insect damage.

With all the fresh new spring growth that most plants put out this time of year you get an increase in bugs that like to eat it.

It's annoying but usually not a big harm to the plant unless they're eating every leaf it puts up.
