I just got my first orchid. I was wondering if I would be able to use my pinguicula soil mix for my orchid. It is made of sand, peat moss, pumice and perlite. I bought him planted in sphagnum moss with water just pooling in it so I immediately took him out and let the roots dry a bit and Im just trying to decide what to put him now. Thank you in advance

Definitely too mineraly, especially for Phalenopsis and Dendrobium, which are probably what you have.

I'd do LFS:perlite 3:1, and maybe mix in a little orchid bark. You can even grow these things hydroponically.
