Hi everyone! I am working on my next vivarium and wanted to try growing some Nepenthes in it. But it will have to tolerate humidity, normal to high temps, and be small growing. I have heard there are some small growing lowland Philippine variety and I think even Borneo if I am not mistaken (forgive my ignorance). Can anyone help or point me in the right direction?

Campanulata, bellii, and madagascariensis are small lowland plants, but they are not suitable as first nepenthes.

Gracilis is easy. It produces long vines but can be cut away periodically to leave only basal rosettes.

As tzestan said, I would say shoot for gracilis. It's fairly small and forgiving. It is a fast grower, but that'll just give you practice rooting cuttings. If you're stateside, I'd suggest reaching out to HCarlton (not sure if he's on this forum), as he had some available not too long ago.
