I know everyone has seen sundew seedlings before, but I’m excited to report I see signs of life in my seed bank seedlings! To give a size perspective, the things that look like steel wire are cat hairs that floated into the pot and the cat has very fine hair.

First pic: ultramafica x spatulata
Second pic: spatula fake ultramafica
Third pic: red cape I got elsewhere

Also, if anyone in the Detroit area is looking for a typical cape sundew, I have several I can give away. I’m nursing a bunch back from a near death experience with aphids. I’d like to let them get a little healthier, then I’ll make a free post. If someone is antsy and wants one now, I’ll give you two in case one croaks.

My adult red cape has two flower stalks, so I can’t wait to send those seeds in to the seed bank. Anything else that flowers in the future will also make seeds for the bank.

Thanks,

Dan
