I decided to try moving my community pot of Drosera regia outside for the Summer.
There are somewhere between 6 and lots in this pot.
I see at least 3 of the plants have put up a flower scape.
These are seedgrown with seeds bought from Petar Kostov.
They're growing in a 1 gallon pot, about 6" x 7".
Drosophyllum to the right, assorted Sarrs to the left.

What kind of temps can the regia take? I have two small plants that I would like to get outside to feed, but they didn't seem to like the heat and sun too much.

I'll let you know how they like Milwaukee's outdoor weather.
I've always treated them as Highland-ish plants.
This will be a learning experience for me.
I am keeping all my "Twister II" plants indoors until maybe next year, depending on how these typical regia plants react to local conditions.

I grow my two pots of regia outside every year, have for at least 10 years. They do very well, although they don't always look real pretty.

Be nice if they tolerate the heat well. Would give them a chance to feed well.

More or less the same as the OP, zone 5. My guys don't seem to have any trouble with weeks of temps in the 90s, but they don't really seem to like them. They do okay, but they seem to slow down a bit and look kind of ratty. Could be they would do better if I gave them more shade, but they've survived so far, so I leave them alone.

Love this conversation as I am totally new to regia and am just starting some seedbank seed (finger's croossed) and am hopeful for something growable to spend some time outdoors (if that is best for the plant!) next year. I would appreciate other folks' conversation on this topic! But will look for Mike {Shadowtski's} inaugural experiences for sure!!

I'm thinking about getting a D. regia myself, but it gets +100 degrees Fahrenheit here in the summer so I couldn't put it outside if I wanted. It could go in the grow cabinet or in front of it. Will be interesting to here how yours does.

They could go out in the spring and the fall, and if your temps only rarely go below freezing, they could stay out for the winter too.
