It's a constant reminder to me if I'm not treating my VFTs properly :)

Agreed but it is starting to get up near 90 degrees so I will have to start shielding my plants during noontime from the bright Prescott sun.

Yes, Giovanni, that Arizona sun is super intense. You'll definitely want to shade your plants during the hottest parts of the day in the summer.

dont forget to keep the soil cool.. me i water them daily for that with my Cobra lilys i usually use like a dripper system to allow cool water to constantly drip so they can keep cool. but sadly i dont shield my plants i just keep them in the sun all day.

Some very good suggestions and I'm definitely going to keep my plants cool.

Giovanni

yes, Gio in the wild they have a cool flow of stream water.. so the very best thing is not to let the soil over heat.. if that happen's than the plant will get heat shock.. so what i do during the summer is pour cool water from the fridge but not too cold just over the soil in the morning an noon and sometimes during the evening..
