you see i have used a good peat for my plants(drosera,VFTs,Nepenthes,Sarrs etc etc),so that questions me whats the TDS of the media i've been using this long...

so,i fill a 500ml cup with distilled water and add around 300ml of peat inside.
mix well the water and peat and i check the TDS with my pen TDS meter.

it measures 79ppm-100ppm++!!
then i say,wow!thats freaking high!is it true?or my measure technics is wrong?

so the topic of this thread is my question :)

Thanks

I am not sure how the 'right' way to check it is. Perhaps the water wasn't truly distilled and had a bad TDS?
I would leave it to the experts.
