Hey everyone! I recently found a phalaenopsis orchid and brought it home. I replanted it because it wasn't really getting alot of air to the roots. I have noticed that recently it has been getting these yellow spots around the tips of some of the leaves. What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it?
TIA Image

Note: It was in direct sunlight (I think)ImageImage

Don’t know about the yellow but it looks like that leaf has had excessive direct sun/heat.

Anything I can do to help it? Just moved it to a shady spot. Anything else I can do to help? Will the leaves die?

I scalded on of mine such that it has a black mark on it. Its been that way for two years.

Don’t know what is causing the yellow though on yours. No water is being trapped next to the stem when you water is there?

I was referring to water at the base of the leaf next to the stem.

It could be a few things:
  1. You're watering too much
  2. It's getting too much light
  3. The leaf is just getting old
For watering, watering whenever the medium has dried out. The light, Phals like to be in shady spots. They don't like direct sun light on their leaves.
