This is my N. ventricosa, which I have had for about 4.5 years. However, the last time it pitchered was about two years ago. Since then, it has produced a few basal shoots (which grow very slowly, if at all - I estimate that they’re about 1 year old), and leaf production on the main plant has ground to a halt. Recently, I have noticed some of the newer petioles begin to go brown at the ends.

Is it possible to save it?

I think there's likely a lighting factor in play. Notice how it's leaning at a 45-degree angle

how old is the media and when you water it can the water drain away to flush out build ups of stuff in the water?

The media is quite new; I repotted it last month. You raise a good point about the drainage stuff, though; I may need to repot it again. The pot it’s in has a reservoir area at the bottom where water can collect. Thank you for your help!

Ok. I moved it to another window that gets more sun. Thank you for your help!

It'll only fall from gravity when it's taller. You can tell the plant is light deprived as the GP is not facing upwards. IME lack of light is a common cause of no pitchering. not too sure what you're getting at with that comment

You probably have root rot. Nepenthes do not like the soil to be wet all of the time and really hate having their roots in soggy soil. The water needs to be able to drain through the pot and only get rewatered once it starts to dry. Depending on what the roots look like, you may need to cut off the top part of the vine and root it again.

vines grow toward light, they only grow up if the light is above. I do agree with you ventricosa prefers a lot of light and should have a slight yellow hue when its happy, but angles of growth of a vine cant speak to light needs.

here is a 1020 trey of ventricosa cutting growing at all angles and blooming but the slight yellow hue tells me they are happy with the light levels. 6 month old cuttings

@rrrt, I would put my hand over the media flip the pot upside down, pull the pot off the media and give the media a good sniff. If it stinks that's your issue 100%.

I use plastic jar lids to give my plants a lift so water drains away and is not wicked back into the media. here is a photo of a plant of mine with a jar lid under it. This is very cheap but very effective to prolong media life and prevent build up of minerals from water source.
