That Ping is known to be smothered and covered in water; at times.

I recommend keeping the tray half submersed at all times and sometimes completely flooding the plants. Until it’s acclimated to your micro climate do mist well and use a humidity dome.

It should bounce back.

A thick top layer of sand will keep the area fairly clean from weeds and help keep the substrate from floating away.

I certainly do not have a lot of experience, but recently bought several pings which came damaged from shipping. Keeping them wet helped them bounce back and they looked kind of like yours with new leaves now popping out in the middle. The damaged leaves all died off.

Received. Thanks!
