Brilliant news! I accidentally grew a lot of sphagnum! I had just placed some wet dead sphagnum in a pot, then placed another pot on top of it and now I checked it and to my surprise most of the surface got covered with live sphagnum! Especially at the edges. I forgot to say that the pot is on a window that doesn’t get direct sun in summer but does in winter. This is surely sphagnum and not star moss. There is also a lot of algae too :?

For anyone interested the exact moss I got was this. So you can revive sphagnum from this brand too and not only besgrow.
