My Judith Hindle has a flower stalk zapping precious energy and I really don’t want seeds so I guess I’ll snip it. Also happening to my VTF so perhaps next year I’ll be ready to let them go and harvest seeds to donate to seed bank.

Snipping the stalk on a Sarracenia doesn't affect it too much, for better or worse (it's really only bad for unhealthy VFTs because the flower stalk is huge compared to the plant and it's hard to grow all of that). It's not so much losing energy to the flower, but instead it naturally waits to pitcher until the flower has bloomed, so it doesn't eat its pollinators by accident.

I just recently self-pollinated my JH - Hopefully it yields some seeds to send in! :D

You think I should have let it be? I’m just happy my JH survived its first winter with me. If it’s no difference then I’d like to see the flower.

I'd just leave it and let it grow. Sarrs have very unique flowers that are definitely worth letting grow, and my plants seem to want to swallow the world whole despite blooming :)
