I’m near LA and winter temps here are around mid 50s to low 60s with lots of sunny days. Last year my flytraps did not go into full dormancy but just stopped producing traps. Is this fine? Should I try placing my flytraps in a shady area for the entire dormancy period?

I dont live in LA but if you left the plant outside then theres no problem. They go by photoperiod more than anything. They go dormant fine here and winter temps are more like 70-80 degrees. Some dont look too beat up during it.

As far as humidity goes, they're not as humid loving as theyre made out to be and they adapt pretty well. I wouldn't worry about that aspect as much
