Mine are potted in a 50/50 mix of sphagnum & perlite. As my plants sit in a water tray permanently, the perlite helps with drainage & aeration, and to a lesser degree helps to insulate the roots against the heat.

Start your seeds on finely chopped sphagnum moss, a take-away container works well for seed germination - no need to cover it, but keep the moss fairly moist to wet.

The seedlings that you can see in the photo came from seed that Matt sent me from Oregon, it was sown about 3 months ago with no cold stratification. Your seed is from the same batch Mitch.

Hey guys, I sowed my darlingtonia seed ( the same seed from matt) on live LFS in a small seedling punnet. I the put it in an an aquarium. After about a month an a half some where around 75 % of them germinated. This was without cold stratification.

Partial sun to Filter light, although I germinate Cobra Lily seeds in full sun, without strat and had 94% germ rate.
