So its almost spring and that's when i like to order my plants. I am looking for some cultivar recommendations. I am looking for flytraps that will grow large and fast. I have seven cultivars so far and King Henry seems to be my best grower followed by Schuppenstiel I. I think the DC XL will be in my order, what else would you suggest?

I just received my order of a SD Kronos and a G16 today from the FTS, they both look great with long roots and lots of traps - can't wait to see what they do this year.

SD Kronos is a very fast growing plant. DCXL is also a very quick one. Archangel isn't a "giant" but it gets pretty impressive and grows pretty quick as well for a red flytrap. I've heard good things about Maroon Monster but I just got mine at the end of the growing season last year. That said though, the three I got were small and split into about 8 so I'm really curious what'll they'll do size wise out here this year.

Alien officially has the "largest" traps in the world according to Guinness World Records. Probably worth having in your collection for that alone.

Bear in mind that they measure by trap length ... not necessarily overall size. Also, I've been told that the traps are only partially functional.

Still, it's probably worth having in your collection for the world record alone.
