I got plant A from a friend as unrooted cuttings. It’s been growing nicely for almost a year.

Then I got this plant B today, from a local garden store.

I think the leaf shapes differ, but would you say one is a ventrata and the other a ventricosa ? If so, what do you think is A and what is B?

Regardless, I’m labeling as generic Nepenthes, since they were not specified by the sellers/growers.

Thank you.

From the pitcher shape, I would say that they are both ventrata. I would be interested to see what plant B does with the same lighting as plant A. You might find the leaves shorten and the pitcher color up more.

When you live in a warm climate, the entire year is basically just a long summer. :D

Jacksonville has a couple months that aspire to be winter. About once a decade, they get a dusting of snow on the palm trees (for a few hours, until it melts away).
